Twenty-one women volunteer to provide health information and education on malaria prevention in their rural communities to help reduce deaths from this mosquito-borne disease.The program is supported by the ExxonMobil Foundation and Jhpiego.

Jhpiego supports government-sponsored malaria prevention services by training dozens of volunteer health workers in home management of malaria treatment. Two residents of a small farming village reach more than 300 pregnant women with potentially lifesaving information.
