Clinical Officer Aloysius Kakungu is one of 120 health care providers who have benefited from an MCHIP-supported skills strengthening and mentoring initiative designed to improve the quality of maternal and newborn health services and reduce maternal deaths in seven target districts of Zambia.
A Traditional Chief in Malawi Urges Men to Accept VMMC
An HIV prevention campaign in the Zomba District of Southern Malawi had a prominent supporter, Chief Saidi Mlumbe, whose eldest son underwent voluntary medical male circumcision. As part of the Jhpiego-supported campaign, nearly 2,500 men received the procedure and accompanying services.
